CARSTAR franchisee Sebastian Torres and his team at CARSTAR TORCAM Group raised $10,700 for Cystic Fibrosis Canada during a fundraiser held at a recent Brantford Bulldogs game.
The event took place during the team’s anniversary hall of fame game and included participation from local cystic fibrosis ambassadors, Hope Jennions and Abbey Ball.
Funds were raised through auctions and raffles featuring Brantford Bulldogs hockey gear, including a helmet.
Players wore special foundation jerseys featuring the CARSTAR logo during the game, highlighting the partnership between the group and the Ontario Hockey League club.
CARSTAR has supported cystic fibrosis initiatives for more than 25 years, with fundraising efforts that began after a franchise partner’s granddaughter was diagnosed with the disease.
Through its CARSTAR Cares program, the company has raised millions of dollars for cystic fibrosis research, care and advocacy through activities such as car washes, golf tournaments and community events.
Proceeds from the Brantford event will support programs and research led by Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
CARSTAR TORCAM Group, operates locations in Brantford, Brantford West, Simcoe and Tillsonburg.
