Consolidated Collision Services has signed a national OEM parts agreement with Unipièce O.E.M., giving CCS repair centres a dedicated channel for parts searches, back-order support and dealership access.
CCS is a Woodbridge, Ont.-based collision repair network for new car dealers, with more than 85 collision repair locations representing more than 225 dealers across Canada. Unipièce O.E.M. is a Boisbriand, Que.-based OEM parts broker founded in 1997. The company works with collision repairers, dealers, banners and insurers.
Under the agreement, Unipièce O.E.M. becomes the exclusive OEM parts supplier for the CCS network across Canada.
Jason Arnott, business and operations director for Western Canada at CCS (pictured), describe the deal as the launch of “a very exciting partnership.”
The parts program gives CCS shops access to Unipièce O.E.M.’s back-ordered parts research centre, weekly unavailable-parts reports by make and model, parts return support, OEM parts warranty coverage and emergency help for missing parts.
The announcement said Unipièce O.E.M. works with 334 dealerships and 10 representatives, while Uniparts O.E.M. works with 216 dealerships and eight representatives.
The back-order service handled 10,535 missing-parts searches over the past 12 months, according to the announcement. Of those, 5,408 parts were found and delivered to repair facilities within 24 to 48 hours.
The agreement also includes access to In-Vite, a service designed to connect repairers with dealership service departments within 24 to 48 hours for ADAS programming, electronic diagnostics and other work requiring a dealership visit.
For repairers, the deal is about parts delays. Back-ordered OEM parts can hold repairs, extend rental needs and slow cycle time. The CCS-Unipièce agreement gives member shops a dedicated parts-search and dealership-access route when standard ordering does not solve the problem.
