Toronto, Ontario -- CARSTAR Newmarket has completed its annual holiday food drive, donating 265 kilograms [584 pounds] of nonperishable food to the Newmarket Food Pantry.
The campaign marks the fourth consecutive year the bodyshop has run the drive.
The food collection runs from November 24 to December 17 and includes items such as peanut butter, rice, pasta and a wide range of canned goods. CARSTAR Newmarket says this year’s effort brings its total donations to more than 907 kilograms [2,000 pounds] of food collected for the local community since the program began.

The shop says the annual food drive has become a regular part of its holiday season, with staff, customers and local residents contributing each year to support families in need across Newmarket.
