Toronto, Ontario -- The Women's Industry Network's annual scholarship walk in May raised $8,900 (US$6,500), with the funds earmarked to provide students in collision repair programs across the U.S. with scholarships up to $3490 (US$2500).
The scholarship walk took place during the WIN’s annual conference in May, while the ongoing team fundraiser allowed businesses, organizations and individual groups to compete for industry recognition by collecting added scholarship contributions. The top three fundraisers in the extended program were Jerry’s ABRA Auto Body & Glass; Enterprise Rent-A-Car and Entegral, Powered by Enterprise and Sparks Underwriters.
“To increase participant involvement in 2025, we again separated the scholarship walk and the extended scholarship fundraiser, so there was ongoing opportunity for individuals and teams donate to the scholarship cause throughout the year,” said Christina Sepulveda co-chair of the WIN scholarship fundraising.
“Our fundraising was now open into 2025 fourth quarter which allowed those inspired to support our future women technicians of collision repair with additional opportunities to contribute to this important cause,” said Pam Watson, co-chair of the WIN scholarship fundraising.
Both fundraising streams, supported in partnership with Rally-Up, benefit the WIN Scholarship program and support the group’s focus on advancing future talent in the collision repair industry.
WIN awarded a record 40 collision repair students with 2025 WIN Student Scholarship Awards this year. Nearly 120 students applied for the program and recipients received extensive tool kits and scholarship funds. The scholarships are presented annually to students enrolled in post-secondary collision repair technology programs. WIN again partnered with the Collision Repair Education Foundation to reach more prospective technicians.
Funds for the program come from sponsors, the WIN’s general fund and fundraising activities, including team-raised donations and bracelet purchases.
