CARSTAR distributed more than 3,500 Hot Wheels toy cars to young fans during a March 1 game featuring the Calgary Wranglers, as part of a sponsored Hot Wheels Game Day promotion.
The giveaway took place as families entered the arena, with children receiving the miniature cars ahead of the American Hockey League matchup.
The event was organized by franchise partner and multi-store owner Mark Kharfan of CARSTAR MK Auto Group, who brought more than 20 volunteers to assist with greeting fans and distributing the toys.
“Seeing the excitement on the kids’ faces as they walked into the arena was incredible,” said Kharfan. “Our team was proud to be part of such a fun night that brought the community together. Being part of CARSTAR means more than repairing vehicles -- it’s about supporting the communities where we live and work.”
The promotion was supported by company leadership, including zone director Andrew Northrup, who helped coordinate the initiative.
“This was an amazing example of what can happen when our franchise partners come together to create meaningful community moments,” said Northrup. “Mark and his team showed incredible leadership by bringing volunteers and helping deliver such a memorable experience for families at the game. It’s moments like these that remind us why we love what we do. Community is truly at the heart of everything at CARSTAR.”
CARSTAR operates more than 700 independently owned and operated collision repair facilities across North America and is part of the Driven Brands network of automotive aftermarket franchise brands.
