On July 8, Toyota Canada and its dealers announced a $300,000 donation to Food Banks Canada through Toyota Cars For Good, renewing the program’s national partnership and continuing to fight hunger in communities across the country.
With every new Toyota vehicle sold, a portion goes towards Cars For Good, and the partnership has already provided more than one million meals to people in Canada.
“Through Toyota Cars For Good, our dealers across Canada are helping turn everyday business into meaningful impact,” said Steve Pilkey, vice-president of sales and marketing, Toyota Canada, in the company’s news release. “We’re proud to work in partnership with Food Banks Canada to help more people in Canada access the food they need to pursue their potential and purpose.”
Food Banks Canada has donated more than $1.2 billion in food supports and more than $292 million in funding since 2010 to meet demand, improve access, and advocate for government action to counter hunger and its root causes. According to the 2025 Hunger Count, food banks across Canada recorded nearly 2.2 million visits in March, and food bank usage has doubled since March 2019.
In addition to renewed funding, Cars For Good has launched a national campaign to raise awareness about food security and the importance of access to a healthy meal, emphasizing the role fuel plays in helping Canadians pursue the moments that matter most.
The campaign videos focus on how food fuels potential in “Hat Trick” and how food fuels purpose in “Jazz Night.”

Toyota Canada and its dealers contributed more than $1 million to local food banks in 2020, and in partnership with Food Banks Canada, remain committed to working towards a Canada where no one goes hungry.
