Quebec City, Quebec -- ProColor Mirabel has raised more than $30,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Montreal and Quebec City.
The fundraiser, called Drive the Generosity, culminated with a grand prize draw to win a 2018 Mazda CX-5 restored by the facility staff.
Guillaume Thérien a team member, whose parents Eric Thérien and Diane Corbeil, own the facility, described the move as being part of the shop's long tradition of giving back to the local community.
“It’s not the first time we’ve done this. We did something similar five years ago — but then we just selected a family in need and donated a car. This time, we decided to rebuild a car and uction it off through a draw."
Tickets for the draw were $100 each.
The Fix Network highlighted the initiative on social media, commending the Mirabel team for their “dedication and commitment to supporting families who stay at the Ronald McDonald Houses to remain close to their hospitalized child.”
