Hunter Engineering Company has released the HawkEye Elite X, an alignment system that also performs ADAS calibrations.
The system is based on the company’s HawkEye Elite platform and uses a four-camera imaging system to measure camber, caster and toe, completing a full alignment check in about 70 seconds. It runs on WinAlign software and includes a North American vehicle specifications database with OEM procedures.
HawkEye Elite X combines alignment and diagnostics in a single setup. It includes Hunter’s ADASLink scan tool integrated into the console, allowing technicians to carry out pre- and post-scans, steering angle resets, system tests and dynamic ADAS calibrations without moving the vehicle.
The system supports a single-bay workflow, with alignment, scanning and calibration steps handled from the same station. The console includes a large-format display, remote operation capability and onboard storage.
Static ADAS calibration is added by integrating Ultimate ADAS hardware. This adds targets, rails and a laser-guided positioning system used to align calibration targets to the vehicle. Hunter states the laser guidance reduces setup time compared with manual measurement methods.
The system is designed so shops can carry out alignment, scanning and ADAS calibration using the same core equipment rather than separate systems.Hunter Engineering Company has released the HawkEye Elite X, an alignment system that also performs ADAS calibrations.
