A free, one-hour webinar scheduled for May 5 will focus on the operation and calibration of ADAS, with an emphasis on European vehicle platforms.
The session, running from 4 to 5 p.m. EDT, will be led by Wes Dickens with MEYLE and will examine how ADAS technology is structured as manufacturers continue moving toward higher levels of vehicle autonomy.
Topics will include the levels of autonomous driving and their capabilities, along with the role ADAS plays in vehicle safety systems. The session will also review sensors used to monitor a vehicle’s environment and how system performance can be affected by worn components.
Calibration procedures for European makes will be a key focus, including Volkswagen front radar calibration, Audi and Volkswagen backup camera and 360 camera calibration, and BMW night vision calibration. The webinar will also cover front camera calibration requirements and environmental conditions needed to complete procedures accurately.
Organizers note the session will outline common tools and equipment used in ADAS calibration work, reflecting the increasing complexity of repair procedures as vehicle technology advances.
Participants will receive a certificate of attendance, delivered by email within one week of the live session. Registration also provides access to follow-up information on any recorded version of the webinar, where available.
