The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence has launched an Officially Licensed ASE Test Prep Partner initiative aimed at aligning third-party study materials with its certification exams.
The program is designed to help technicians and students identify test preparation resources that reflect current ASE task lists and standards.
“ASE certification tests are created by automotive industry experts to reflect real-world knowledge and skills,” said Dave Johnson, president and CEO of ASE. “The officially licensed ASE Test Prep Partner initiative provides technicians and students with confidence that the materials they are using to prepare have been reviewed to align with current ASE task lists and standards. This program reinforces our commitment to supporting the professional development of service professionals at every stage of their careers.”
Under the initiative, ASE will establish a formal collaboration with participating organizations. Through a content and ASE style guide review process, ASE will work with approved partners to help verify that their materials accurately support candidates preparing for certification tests.
To qualify, organizations must maintain a current test prep library covering at least one entire ASE Master test series, with materials focused on the task lists used for active certification exams.
Applicants must also be current or in the process of becoming an ASE accredited training provider through the ASE Training Managers Council and hold active ATMC membership. Additional requirements include serving as a partner of the ASE Education Foundation and or sponsoring the ASE Instructor Training Conference, as well as supporting the annual ASE Service Professional Awards program.
Approved partners will be authorized to use the officially licensed ASE Test Prep Partner logo and will be listed on the ASE website.
