Bodyshops’ rekeying of insurer-generated estimates will be the focus of a Nov. 12 webinar examining why the practice continues and how to reduce duplicate data entry.

Why Shops Rekey Estimate Data—and What Can Be Done About It begins at 2 p.m. EST. It will begin with a presentation of findings from a survey conducted earlier this year, comparing them with results from similar surveys dating back to 2022.

The survey examines the most commonly cited reasons for rekeying estimates, repairers’ awareness and use of available solutions and why some repairers refuse to rekey on principle.

Craig Stevens, director of solutions delivery in the automotive services group at CCC Intelligent Solutions, a Chicago-based provider of insurance and collision repair software, will also discuss how duplicate entry takes time away from higher-value work. He will also examine fragmented workflows and opportunities to capture information once for use throughout the repair and claims process.

Mike Anderson, owner of Collision Advice, an Alexandria, Va.-based collision repair consultancy, and Dan Stander, president of Fix Auto Highlands Ranch, a collision repair centre in Littleton, Colo., will then discuss rekeying challenges and possible solutions to improve shop efficiency.
