The Society of Collision Repair Specialists has established an ADAS Repair Division and appointed its inaugural governing council.
According to the press release, the creation of the ADAS Repair Division was approved by SCRS in 2025 in response to requests from ADAS repair specialists for a platform to address educational gaps, information needs and a lack of dedicated advocacy for their sector.
The division is operated within the SCRS, which is led by a five-member governing council elected by the membership.
“The ADAS repair community has voiced a clear need for this infrastructure. A home within a trusted organization that understands the industry and can amplify their voice,” said Aaron Schulenburg, SCRS executive director, in the press release. “The establishment of this Division and its Governing Council represents our commitment to ensuring those independent professionals are not left without a platform for their voices to be heard as vehicle technology and the repair responsibilities that come with it rapidly evolve.”
According to the press release, the mission of the ADAS Repair Division is to educate, inform and represent ADAS repair specialists, while the governing council is responsible for directing the division’s affairs, overseeing programs and events, managing member engagement and funds and establishing policies under the oversight of the SCRS board.
The division will develop educational content, engage its membership, host events and organize programs, providing ADAS specialists with a professional organization that utilizes SCRS’s resources.
Members of the governing council include Michael Ambrosino, director of operations at ADAS Diagnostic Solutions; Joe Brookhart, managing partner at Summit Auto Calibration; Andy Dingman, owner of Dingman’s Collision Center; James “Spike” Rodis, industry relations manager of the Woodhouse Auto Family and Jason “Buck” Zeise, regional director for Minnesota ADAS Solutions.
ADAS businesses can become members of the ADAS Division through the SCRS website. Membership is the same price for collision centres and ADAS professionals, at $475 per year for general membership and $1000 per year for platinum membership.
