Toronto, Ontario -- Quebec-based software company LeddarTech, which specializes in developing simulations to test ADAS and autonomous driving technology, is rehiring many of the employees let go during a recent fiscal emergency.
A group of workers who had previously been let go returned to the company on June 4, 2025 after departing on May 20, 2025.
Last month, the company announced temporary layoffs affecting approximately 138 employees, or about 95 percent of its total workforce. Should the company's financial position continue to improve, the company plans to recall all of the departed workers.
Shortly after announcing the departures, the company unveiled LeddarSim, a cutting-edge simulation platform designed to provide virtual testing for ADAS and autonomous driving software. The platform generated enough interest for the company to secure a new line of credit and rearrange its existing agreements with other lenders.
The agreements with Dejardins and FS Investment Management postpone payments of interest and fees, as well as loan maturity until January 31, 2026. The amendment with Dejardins will be subject to acceptable cash flow projected payments.
FS Investment Management’s offer also provides a bridge to equity loan of up to $2 million in order to provide LeddarTech with the funds earmarked for complete equity investments or commercial transactions relating to its technology.
