Toronto, Ontario — General Motors has reportedly begun using artificial intelligence-integrated smart computers to check vehicle quality and identify outliers in vehicle software.

Specifically, the automaker has reportedly installed 300 smart computers at its Global Technical Center in Warren, Michigan to test and simulate new infotainment systems.

Moreover, during GM’s Investors Day—which took place on October 8, 2024—Dave Richardson, senior vice president of software and services engineering commented that “artificial intelligence will fundamentally change the world in ways that we can’t fully imagine now. But at GM, it’s already influencing how we make vehicles, through the way we test, certify and move with speed and excellence.”
