The Automotive Service Association, a U.S.-based trade organization representing independent automotive service and repair businesses, and Revv will host a webinar April 15 focused on the role of artificial intelligence in collision and mechanical repair, particularly as it relates to calibration accuracy and diagnostic procedures.
The session is scheduled for Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 1 to 2 p.m. EST. Joel Adcock, director of strategic partnerships at Revv, will present.
“AI is a powerful tool and can help simplify the repair process, but it also raises the stakes,” said Joel Adcock, director of strategic partnerships at Revv. “These systems are only as reliable as the data behind them, and when that foundation is off, it can impact decisions at every stage of the workflow. Our focus is helping shops pair AI with accurate data and clear documentation, so repairs are consistent and vehicles are returned to the road safely.”
According to event details, the webinar will examine the growing use of AI across estimating, diagnostics, telematics and repair planning, and its reliance on accurate repair data. The session will focus on advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) calibrations, documentation and verification processes required to support AI-enabled workflows.
Organizers indicate the presentation will address industry assumptions about AI’s ability to streamline repair processes, while outlining how improper calibration practices and incomplete documentation may affect repair outcomes and system performance.
The session will also explore the potential impact of inaccurate data on AI-supported decision-making, including the risk of repeat repairs and broader implications for connected repair systems.
The webinar is intended for collision and mechanical repair professionals preparing for increased integration of AI-driven technologies, with a focus on maintaining calibration accuracy and meeting evolving safety and documentation requirements.
