Bosch Diagnostics has released software updates 7.1 and 7.2 for its ADS X series scan tool, continuing a rollout aimed at expanding vehicle coverage and diagnostic capabilities.
Both updates introduce 2026 model year vehicle coverage alongside expanded ADAS calibrations. Version 7.1 adds more than 6,500 new special tests and system applications, while version 7.2 builds on that with more than 7,000 additional tests and applications.
“As vehicles become increasingly sophisticated, the diagnostic tools technicians rely on must keep pace,” said James Latham, product specialist at Bosch Mobility Aftermarket. “With ADS updates 7.1 and 7.2, we’re ensuring that shops have the coverage and calibration capabilities they need to confidently service the latest models and get drivers back on the road as quick as possible.”
Update 7.1 includes added diagnostic trouble code support, data and bi-directional functions across a range of makes, including Alfa Romeo, Chevrolet, Ford, Genesis, GMC, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Lexus, Lincoln, RAM, Subaru and Toyota.
Update 7.2 continues that expansion with additional 2026 coverage and ADAS calibrations, adding makes such as BMW, Hyundai, Jeep, Kia, MINI Cooper, Nissan, RAM, Subaru and Toyota.
Users of the ADS X platform with active subscriptions will receive both updates automatically for installation.
