CCAM Annual Summit

Sss

Toronto, Ontario -- The Corporation des concessionnaires d’automobiles de Montréal,  an association for new vehicle and heavy truck dealers in the Montreal region, will host the second edition of the Sommet de la CCAM on January 14, 2026 at the InterContinental Montréal.

The event brings together dealers, collision repairers and industry partners for a full day of discussions. The summit is intended to give Québec’s automotive sector a space to exchange ideas and hear outside perspectives.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the program starts at 10:00 a.m. The day includes breakfast, lunch and a closing cocktail. Sym Tech Dealer Services is the exclusive sponsor for the event.

Speakers include Aurélien Debec of aConnect, Alexandre Saillant and Charles Saillant of Groupe Saillant, Charles Bernard of the Canadian Automobile Dealers Association, Sam Yue Chi of the Corporation des concessionnaires d’automobiles du Québec, Marc Bourassa of Cadillac de Laval, Niel Hiscox of Universus Media Group and Clarify Group, and Yamina Tsalamlal of Léger. The program will be hosted by Isabelle Maréchal.

Bill 30 will be a major topic. The legislation takes effect on July 1, 2026. It will change how insurance products are sold in Québec. Dealers and recreational vehicle merchants will no longer be allowed to sell replacement insurance. Only licensed insurance representatives will be permitted to offer it. The law ends the distribution without a representative system that let dealers sell insurance directly. Regulators introduced the change after concerns about high premiums, pressure tactics and inconsistent coverage for consumers.

The program will also cover broader themes. These include the possible arrival of Chinese automakers in Canada and the growing use of artificial intelligence in dealership operations.
