CARSTAR Hamilton Rymal will host a community fundraiser supporting the Alzheimer Society of Canada next month, marking the launch of what the business hopes will become an annual event.
The inaugural Pit Stop Pilates fundraiser is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 16, at the Hamilton, Ont., collision repair facility. Organized in partnership with Pilates with Alyssa, the event will feature two 50-minute Pilates classes, with a portion of registration proceeds donated to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
“We are excited to host our first annual Pit Stop Pilates event here at Mercanti Automotive CARSTAR. We wanted to create an event that showcases local businesses, encourages a healthy lifestyle, and supports a cause that has touched our family personally.,” said Adriano Mercanti, CEO and president at Mercanti Capital.
“Honouring our late grandfather and founder, who lived with Alzheimer's, is at the heart of this event, and we're proud that a portion of the proceeds will help support the important work of the Alzheimer Society. Our goal is for Pit Stop Pilates to become an annual tradition that continues to strengthen our local community and drives awareness and support to a cause that many families suffer from," he said.
The fundraiser reflects CARSTAR Hamilton Rymal's ongoing commitment to community involvement outside of collision repair operations.
Several local businesses have partnered with the event, including Capri Gelato, The Dessert Room, Blume, Caffe Vivo, Brow Bar by Jules and DDG. Organizers are also working with CHCH News to help raise awareness ahead of the fundraiser.
