Toronto, Ontario -- Color Compass is saying goodbye to one of its longest-serving employees.
Earlier this month, the Winnipeg-based company’s service and quality assurance manager, Marty McCormick (pictured in the centre of the front row), announced he was retiring.
McCormick first joined Color Compass in 1987. During his career with the organization, the RRC Polytech grad was involved in training, purchasing, new business development, sales processing and organizational leadership.
His long tenure with the firm was honoured in a series of social media posts.
“Congratulations on a tremendous career with our organization,” staff wrote in posts on Color Compass’ LinkedIn and Instagram pages. You have been an integral part of our group of companies since you joined in 1987.
We deeply appreciate your hard work, loyalty and contributions. You have not only made a lasting impact to our company and fellow teammates, but you have also made such a profound influence on all the customers you’ve touched over your 38-year career.”
The post garnered 59 likes on LinkedIn and another 34 on Instagram. Ferd Klassen, president and general manager at Niverville Autobody in Manitoba, and Mike Li, general manager at 417 Collision Centre, were among the members of the auto repair sector to offer personal congratulations to McCormick.
Darrin Heise, Color Compass’ general sales manager for Eastern Canada, who worked alongside McCormack from 2008 until his retirement, also posted a message of support. It read: “Congratulations Marty!! [I’m] so happy to have worked with you.”
