Buffalo Engine Components remains a key link in North America’s core recycling chain

Buffalo Engine Components currently maintains roll-off containers at more than 70 auto recyclers throughout Ontario and has been a member of the Ontario Automotive Recyclers Association (OARA) for more than a dozen years.

Buffalo Engine Components Inc. is a familyowned and operated automotive core supplier, as well as a scrap engine and transmission recycling company, serving vendors and customers since 1981. The company provides roll-off container service to more than 200 auto recyclers, along with trailer and LTL service to an additional 100 suppliers. Buffalo Engine Components currently maintains rolloff containers at more than 70 auto recyclers throughout Ontario and has been a member of the Ontario Automotive Recyclers Association (OARA) for more than a dozen years. Vendors are able to mix cores and scrap in Buffalo Engine Components’ roll-off containers, which are processed at the company’s facility.

Payment for cores is based on established engine, transmission, and torque converter price guides. Parts not listed are paid by the pound in U.S. dollars, with payment wire-transferred to the vendor’s business upon check-in at the facility. Buffalo Engine Components handles all customs documentation and provides yards with copies of the paperwork, certified scale tickets, and email confirmations of check-ins and wire transfers. All roll-off pricing is quoted and includes pickup at the vendor’s facility.

Buffalo Engine Components also services more than 100 suppliers outside its roll-off radius who ship trailer-load and LTL quantities of cores and scrap in Gaylord or bulk boxes. Pricing is quoted, includes pickup at the supplier’s facility, and is paid in the same manner as rolloff containers upon check-in.
