Experience and Resilience Drive Success

Screenshot 2026 02 10 At 4 53 56 PmIn a time when many Canadian businesses are navigating economic uncertainty, Dom’s Auto Parts stands as a reminder of the strength, stability, and innovation found within the auto-recycling sector. With more than 60 years in operation, the company has proven that experience — paired with a resilient mindset —can turn industry challenges into opportunities for growth.

“Since COVID, we’ve all felt the impact of supply chain disruptions, and now we’re adapting to new pressures such as tariffs,” said Dominic Vetere, third-generation owner of Dom’s Auto Parts. “But our philosophy is simple: every challenge presents a growth opportunity. Right now is the perfect moment for the Canadian auto-recycling industry to expand its market share and showcase the value we bring to the automotive ecosystem.”

A true multigenerational success story, Dom’s Auto Parts was founded by Dominic Vetere Sr., carried forward by Mickey Vetere, and is now guided by Dominic Jr., with the fourth generation — Dustin Vetere and Carly Vetere — actively stepping into leadership roles. “I’m very fortunate to be part of this family business and to see my children contribute to its future,” Dominic said.

Dustin and Carly bring fresh energy and a forward-looking perspective to the company’s management team. “They keep us current with new systems and new technologies that help ensure our business stays at the forefront of the industry,” Dominic added.

But the strength of Dom’s Auto Parts extends far beyond the Vetere family. Long-standing employees continue to be a cornerstone of the company’s success. “We’re privileged to have team members who have been with us for decades — 42 years, 50 years, even 53 years,” Dominic said. “Their knowledge, loyalty, and dedication have shaped who we are.”

Industry collaboration has also played an essential role. Partnerships with organizations such as ARC and OARA have helped the company maintain strong standards and stay connected to industry advancements. This year, Dom’s Auto Parts is developing a new relationship with the insurance repair sector by enhancing its Gold Seal program. According to Dominic, “These improvements will help us better meet the needs of insurers and repairers by elevating our service capabilities and the quality of the recycled parts we supply.”

With a foundation built on experience, strengthened by a resilient team, and energized by the next generation, Dom’s Auto Parts continues to demonstrate the value and professionalism of the Canadian auto-recycling industry — while confidently preparing for the challenges and opportunities ahead.
