AutoCanada Inc. is acquiring a Stratford, Ontario collision repair centre.

The Edmonton-based dealership and collision repair group completed the acquisition of the business -- formerly Fix Auto Stratford -- on July 2. The facility now operates as ACX Stratford.

The centre serves Stratford and Perth County from an approximately 20,000-square-foot facility. Former owner Kate Tapley has departed, while Don Gray is continuing as general manager.

The Stratford facility is less than an hour’s drive from 10 AutoCanada dealerships.

“ACX Stratford is an excellent addition to our growing collision platform,” said Samuel Cochrane, chief executive officer and interim chief financial officer of AutoCanada. “The business expands our presence in Southwestern Ontario, adds an experienced team, and creates meaningful opportunities to grow through operational improvements, additional OEM certifications and stronger integration with our dealership network.”

AutoCanada operates 64 franchised dealerships in Canada, representing 23 automotive brands across eight provinces, as well as three independent used vehicle dealerships. Its Canadian dealerships sold approximately 71,000 new and used retail vehicles in 2025.

The group also operates nine franchised dealerships in Illinois through Leader Automotive Group. That U.S. dealership business is listed as discontinued operations as AutoCanada works through the sale of its U.S. dealership portfolio.

Following the Stratford acquisition, AutoCanada’s collision centre operations include 37 collision centres. The group has 26 OEM certifications covering 37 vehicle brands.
