An Atlantic Canadian collision repair network has expanded to 13 centres with the acquisition of a longstanding bodyshop in Bridgewater, N.S.
Centennial Auto Group has acquired CARSTAR Bridgewater from Kevin and Wendy Emino. The existing team will continue serving customers at 350 Victoria Rd.
Kevin Emino established Emino’s Autobody & Collisions Centre behind his home in 1987. The business moved to its current location in 2000 and later joined the CARSTAR network.
A major expansion in 2019 brought the facility to approximately 1,301 square metres (14,000 square feet) across two buildings.
“We recognize what Kevin and Wendy Emino have been building in Bridgewater since 1987,” said Rob Kember, managing partner at Centennial Auto Group, in the acquisition release. “Our goal is to work with CARSTAR Bridgewater’s outstanding team to build on that foundation by providing the high level of service that customers along the South Shore have come to expect.”
Centennial’s collision repair operations began nearly five decades ago in Prince Edward Island, where brothers Ira and Ezra Kember founded the business. Both remain active in its daily operations.
Centennial joined the CARSTAR network in 2004 and has expanded across Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. The family-owned group is headquartered in Summerside, P.E.I. Its automotive dealership, collision repair, powersports and rental divisions employ 380 people.
