Eleven fathers working at CARSTAR collision repair facilities in Alberta were honoured by the franchise in June. The group included two employees at CARSTAR Calgary Deerfoot South and nine employees from CARSTAR Johnny K Group locations.
CARSTAR Calgary Deerfoot South body technician Harvey Shorrock (pictured) was recognized as both a father at home and a mentor to his younger colleagues at work. He was noted for mentoring apprentices and helping younger technicians learn the trade.
Painter Serhii Karpenko was also recognized at the Calgary shop. Karpenko moved from Ukraine with his family and was noted for his work ethic, his role as a father and his willingness to share his knowledge with apprentices.
The CARSTAR Johnny K Group employees included Cory Cividino, a father of two who has worked with the group for more than 11 years.
The group also named Shiek Adamsaib, a painter at CARSTAR Ellerslie; Kammy Patel, a long-term painter at CARSTAR Edmonton South East; Kris Naidu of CARSTAR Leduc; Sam Isack of CARSTAR Mayfield; and Jamey Siopidis of CARSTAR Roper Road.
Scott Todd of CARSTAR Gateway was recognized as a long-term employee and father of twin sons. Jamey Albo of CARSTAR Express Edmonton South was recognized as a new father and team lead. Mike Hendrickson of CARSTAR Express was recognized as a technician and father in a blended family.
