Electrical Insight: ASE webinar highlights voltage drop strategies

Untitled Design (8)

The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence will host a webinar on Tuesday, March 3, spotlighting voltage drop testing and its role in accurate electrical diagnostics.

The session, Voltage Drop Testing, is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET and will be led by Automotive Seminars instructor Scot Manna. The presentation will explore the purpose of voltage drop testing, what the procedure reveals about circuit performance and why it remains a critical step in the diagnostic process for today’s increasingly complex vehicle electronics.

In addition to explaining when technicians should perform voltage drop tests, Manna will outline practical testing methods using both digital meters and oscilloscopes. The webinar will also incorporate multiple case studies designed to illustrate common diagnostic scenarios, demonstrate proper testing techniques and help participants interpret readings. Organizers note that the examples aim to show how voltage drop testing can contribute to faster troubleshooting and more precise repairs.

Participants who attend the live webinar will receive a certificate of attendance. Automatic delivery is expected within one week via email.

Following registration, attendees will receive a confirmation email containing instructions for joining the session. Those unsure of their availability are still encouraged to register. Individuals who sign up for the live event may receive follow-up details on how to access a recorded version of the webinar, if available. Access to recorded sessions is limited to those registered for the live broadcast.

Registration for the webinar is available here.
