CARSTAR Academy hosted a career development day at Algonquin College where over 50 students engaged in hands-on training with modern collision repair technology and learned about career pathways in the growing auto body repair industry.

CARSTAR recently connected with the next generation of collision repair professionals during CARSTAR Day at Algonquin College, engaging more than 50 students in a hands-on learning experience designed to showcase the exciting opportunities available within the industry.
As part of the CARSTAR Academy program, 52 Level one, two and three students participated in a full day of learning, industry insights and practical training led by CARSTAR team members and industry partners.

The day began with discussions focused on the evolving collision repair industry, career pathways and the growing demand for skilled technicians. Students had the opportunity to learn firsthand about careers available within the collision repair field and the many opportunities for growth and advancement.
In the afternoon, students were divided into two groups for interactive training sessions. One group worked alongside Kevin Buckwald, area manager of operations, CARSTAR, learning how to use a manual tram gauge. The second group participated in a demonstration of the Spanesi 3D electronic measuring system, hosted by Collision 360. The hands-on exercises gave students exposure to the technology and tools used in today's modern collision repair facilities.
Following the sessions, students also had the opportunity to learn more about the CARSTAR Academy Road Tour, which brings industry education and career exploration opportunities directly to students and aspiring technicians across Canada.
