Surventis (formerly BASF Coatings) has revealed their first automotive colour collection called NEXISTENTIAL.
According to the release, the theme, NEXISTENTIAL, “explores the idea of finding orientation in a world that refuses to stand still.” The colour palette brings together strong, expressive and calmer, neutral tones. It includes rich shades of red, blue, warm neutrals and modern pastels.
“As people increasingly seek experiences that feel relevant and authentic, mobility must combine physical and digital experiences in meaningful ways,” said Mark Gutjahr, global head of design at Surventis, in the release. “Colours, materials and surfaces play an important role in this connection. They help express identity, create emotional engagement and strengthen the relationship between people and their vehicles.”
At the core of the NEXISTENTIAL collection are three regional colours.
Horizon Flux | Asia Pacific
A reinterpretation of classic silver through the lens of change. This shade of silver changes subtly with blight movement, creating a depth while maintaining the calm and neutral appearance.
Chromotopic Metal | Americas
This colour combines the opportunity and clarity of white with the depth of metallic silver. According to the release, it is “enabled by an advanced mica technology designed for efficient two-coat applications, the finish achieves a distinctive metallic expression while maintaining visual simplicity”
Motile Red | EMEA
This colour combines the deep richness of burgundy tones with red highlights. According to the release, Motile Red was formulated incorporating non-fossil content and pigment solutions derived from transformed waste streams. This showcases how innovation and sustainability work together to create new possibilities in automotive colour design.
