AkzoNobel, a company that has been supplying paints and coatings since 1972, has revealed that their 2027 colour of the year is a soft, ethereal shade of green called Soulful Sage.
It is available in a variety of finishes from a textured or soft-feel, matte and high gloss all the way to metallic and effect coatings.
“In an oversaturated world, it is time to reconnect with what makes us human, reclaim the meaning of life and let our spirits brighten,” said Gareth Bryant, colour design lead, automotive and specialty coatings in the press release.
Alongside the stunning Soulful Sage are three supporting colour stories including 'Glow', a warm tonal shade balancing soft metallics and cool sage 'Pure' offers a more neutral palette and 'Lift' showcases the bright, botanical and perfect pastels with energetic finishes.
“Soulful Sage offers a pathway to healing, clarity and inspiration. It is a soft, ethereal tone that cleanses the soul and lifts the spirits. Associated with simplicity, tranquility, harmony, peace, positivity and elegance, it brings the ‘Live Lightly’ theme to life,” Bryant continued.
