Plasnomic just announced on Tuesday (Oct 27) that development of the new plastic repair excellence centre in Argyle, Texas, is underway.
“The centre is being designed to connect practical repair expertise with advancing technology, bringing learning, innovation and real repair activity together under one roof,” said Mario Dimovski, president of Plasnomic and chairman of the Plastic Repair Alliance Council.

Developing upcoming talent and new plastic repair specialists will be a central priority of the centre, paired with creating opportunities for existing technicians, estimators and industry professionals to expand their knowledge. The centre will include one of the automotive industry’s most advanced digital content and training development studios. With live demonstrations and remote learning, the centre will reach developing professionals outside of Texas. This makes the centre’s specialist expertise known to individuals across the industry. The combination of hands-on instruction, digital education and technical support will help create new career pathways in the industry and repair businesses create specialist capacity.
As the automotive industry changes along with materials and technologies, the centre’s goal is to build a platform to, according to the release, “strengthen repair confidence, support new talent and retain suitable components in service with applicable OEM requirements.
“Bringing these perspectives together will help align workforce development, research and repair solutions with the needs of the wider industry, while creating opportunities to share knowledge and develop new approaches,” said Dimovski.
Plasnomic is an international initiative that aims to advance the future of automotive plastic repair through collaboration, certification, technical research and evidence-based best practices. It has not yet been revealed when the centre will open, however, more details about the centre’s development, programs, capabilities and industry-first initiatives will be shared as the development progresses.
