CCC Intelligent Solutions and Opus IVS announced partnerships with calibration service providers to help collision repairers identify and arrange ADAS calibration work, with CCC integrating Azimuth Claims Solutions for repair planning and Opus connecting users with Protech Automotive Solutions for diagnostic and calibration services.

  • CCC Intelligent Solutions integrated with Azimuth Claims Solutions on October 22 to help repairers view calibration recommendations and add them to estimates within CCC ONE software.
  • Opus IVS partnered with Protech Automotive Solutions on October 21 to provide ADAS MAP Pro users access to vehicle diagnostics, calibrations, module programming, and mobile field services.
  • ADAS calibration has become critical but remains one of the least standardized components of modern collision repair, making these partnerships essential for standardization.
  • CCC's Calibration Guidelines initiative includes recommendations from multiple providers including asTech, Azimuth, Opus, Kinetic, and REVV to streamline repair workflows.
  • These partnerships enable independent repairers to access specialized equipment and expertise without requiring each shop to develop every service internally.

U.S. collision repairers have gained new options for identifying calibration labour on estimates and arranging the technical work through outside providers.

CCC Intelligent Solutions announced an integration with Azimuth Claims Solutions on Oct. 22.

A separate agreement, announced Oct. 21, connects users of the Opus IVS ADAS MAP Pro platform with Protech Automotive Solutions’ diagnostic and calibration services.

Collision Repair contacted CCC for comment on Canadian availability, vehicle coverage, insurer participation and how repairers can question suggested labour times. At the time of publication, it had not received a response.

The developments cover different steps in repairing vehicles equipped with advanced driver assistance systems, or ADAS. The CCC integration addresses repair planning and estimating. The Opus agreement connects repairers with technicians and services needed to complete the work.

Chicago-based CCC supplies estimating, claims and repair management software. The Azimuth integration will allow repairers to view calibration recommendations within CCC ONE and add recommended operations to estimates.

Azimuth combines automaker repair procedures, vehicle build information and time studies to identify calibration requirements and associated labour times.

“ADAS calibration has become one of the most critical and least standardized components of modern collision repair,” said Charles Rich, chief executive officer of Azimuth Claims Solutions.

Azimuth also supplies tools for insurer claims reviews. Those tools identify vehicle equipment, distinguish required from non-required operations and provide OEM documentation for discussions with shop estimators.

The integration follows CCC’s Oct. 20 announcement of Calibration Guidelines, which brings recommendations from calibration and diagnostic providers into estimating workflows. Participants include asTech through adasThink, Azimuth, Opus through ADAS MAP Pro, Kinetic and REVV.

The separate Opus agreement adds Protech as a premier calibration provider within the ADAS MAP Pro network.

Opus IVS supplies diagnostic, programming and calibration technology to repairers and dealerships. Protech provides diagnostic scanning, ADAS calibration, mechanical services and technical support through technicians, calibration centres and remote services in the United States.

Under the agreement, Opus customers can access Protech’s vehicle diagnostics, calibrations, module programming and mobile field services.

Jon Webber, senior vice-president of Protech Automotive Solutions, said the arrangement gives independent repairers access to equipment and expertise without requiring each shop to develop every service internally.

“Our partnership with Opus makes it easier for repairers to connect with those services when and where they need them.”
