WorldSkills has announced Team Canada’s 2026 auto painting lineup.

Cecile Bukmeier, WorldSkills expert and Auto Body program chair and instructor at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT), will be mentoring competitor Anika Jones.

Jones has previously competed in the 2025 Skills Canada National Competition in Regina, Saskatchewan, earning second place in the post-secondary auto painting category and will compete in the 2026 WorldSkills competition in Shanghai. She is currently a student in NAIT's Auto Body Technician program and works as a painter at an auto body shop in Edmonton, Alberta.

Bukmeier graduated from the same program Jones is completing in 2015 and has been a provincial and national committee member for Skills Canada since 2013.
