ASE and WrenchWay will host a free webinar offering an early look at findings from the 2026 Voice of Technician Survey on Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 2 p.m. EST.
The session will present key insights drawn from more than 5,500 survey responses across the automotive and diesel industries. The webinar is designed to explore current technician sentiment and highlight where expectations continue to diverge from shop realities.
During the presentation, participants will review what has changed since previous surveys, what trends have remained consistent and where the most significant gaps persist between technicians and employers. Organizers will also outline how the findings can be applied to improve recruiting practices, strengthen retention efforts and support long-term workforce planning.
Discussion topics will include technician perspectives on pay, benefits and overall job satisfaction, as well as what technicians value most in employers and areas where shops are falling short. The session will also examine differences in sentiment by segment, experience level and shop type, along with emerging trends that influence retention and career longevity.
The webinar will further address how shop operators, educators and industry leaders can use survey data to inform decision-making and drive meaningful change within the workforce.
Registration for the webinar is free. More information and registration details are available here.
