Lift Safety: Free ASE Webinar

Ase Logo

The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) will host a free webinar, “A Lift Safety Discussion,” on Tuesday, Feb. 3, at 4:00 p.m. ET.

The webinar will feature a representative from the Automotive Lift Institute (ALI), who will address the proper use of automotive lifts, outline the responsibilities of lift owners and employers, and highlight key safety considerations for repair shops and technicians.

During the session, participants will learn about the value of ALI-certified lifts, the importance of periodic inspections, general best practices for lift operation, and considerations related to EV lifting and equipment care. The webinar will conclude with a live question-and-answer session.

As the independent, third-party standards and certification organization for the vehicle lift industry, ALI serves as the industry’s primary safety resource and watchdog. This educational webinar is designed to provide both new technicians and experienced shop managers with greater awareness of industry standards and available resources that support safe work practices. While informative in nature, the program does not replace the need to follow manufacturer instructions, applicable standards, or workplace safety policies.

Participants who attend the live session will receive a certificate of attendance, which will be delivered automatically by email within one week.

Following registration, attendees will receive a confirmation email with instructions for joining the webinar. Those who are unsure they can attend the live event are encouraged to register, as they will receive a follow-up email with information on accessing a recorded session, if available. Access to recorded sessions is limited to individuals who register for the live webinar.
