Toronto, Ontario -- Hunter Engineering has announced that Toyota and Lexus have approved its Ultimate ADAS system for use in their North American dealer and collision network.

The new approvals bring Hunter’s OEM total to seven, joining Honda, Acura, Nissan, Infiniti and Subaru. Additional approvals are expected in 2025.

“It’s been exciting to partner with Toyota Motor North America to approve Ultimate ADAS for Toyota and Lexus dealers,” said Kaleb Silver, senior director, product management for Hunter. “Toyota has been a leader in the ADAS market for many years, with the largest number of vehicles with static calibration procedures in operation in North America.

Ultimate ADAS is Hunter’s alignment and static calibration system designed to replace error-prone manual layouts common in ADAS calibrations. It combines alignment technology with a guided target placement system that uses gimbal-mounted lasers to replace traditional strings, plumb bobs and tape measures, reducing setup times by as much as 70 percent.

The system automatically compensates for non-level floors, monitors for placement errors and confirms accuracy through laser measurements. It also provides detailed documentation of placements, procedures and before-and-after measurements, which can be accessed through HunterNet 2, the company’s customer portal.

Ultimate ADAS now includes formal approvals from seven OEMs and offers calibration coverage for 19 in total, supporting more than 7,400 procedures and accounting for more than 90 percent of vehicles in operation across North America.

“I believe the key to Hunter's Ultimate ADAS® gaining these approvals has been using the same technological power that drives ADAS technology to also drive its serviceability,” said David Agnew, ADAS product manager & industry relations for Hunter Engineering. “Our respect for the incredible R&D efforts that brought Toyota’s and other OEMs’ systems to market is what drives our system’s efficiency and precision.”
