Volvo Car Canada will spotlight safety innovation and electric mobility at the 2026 Canadian International AutoShow, featuring a live crash test safety display and the Ontario auto show debut of the Volvo EX30 Cross Country.
The crash test display will showcase vehicles used in real-world safety testing at the Volvo Cars Safety Centre in Sweden, offering attendees a rare look at cars typically not seen outside the facility. The exhibit is designed to highlight Volvo’s long-standing safety standards and its ambition toward zero collisions. As part of the display, Volvo will also introduce its new multi-adaptive safety belt, described as the latest evolution of the brand’s approach to occupant protection.
“We’re excited to show visitors at the Toronto show how Volvo is constantly pushing safety forward, developing cars and technology designed to better protect people and accelerate towards a future of zero collisions,” noted Matt Girgis, managing director of Volvo Car Canada.
AutoShow organizers expect the display to resonate with attendees. “With safety top-of-mind for many of our auto show visitors, we think this display from Volvo will really hit home and show the many efforts made to advance safety in the industry,” noted Jason Campbell, general manager of the Canadian International AutoShow.
Also making its first Ontario auto show appearance, the Volvo EX30 Cross Country builds on the automaker’s compact electric SUV platform, offering enhanced capability and design aimed at drivers seeking adventure in a small electric vehicle. The model reflects Volvo’s focus on Scandinavian design, everyday usability and advanced safety.
The Volvo exhibit will be located in the South Building of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and will also feature the EX40, XC40, XC60 and XC90. The EX30, EX40 and XC90 will be available for test drives.
