The International Roundtable on Auto Recycling webinar will take place on Oct 29 at 8 am EDT.
Titled the Future of Auto Recycling in Europe: Understanding the New ELV Regulation, this webinar will explore how Europe’s new end-of-life rules are reshaping how vehicles are being designed, collected, recycled and reused across the European Union as well as what the regulation will mean for treatment facilities. It will also highlight how things like vehicle traceability, extended producer responsibility and the efforts against illegal dismantling will be affected.
Speakers will include Henk Jan Nix, general secretary at the European Group of Automotive Recycling Associations and policy officer at Stiba, the Dutch trade association for certified vehicle dismantling as well as Marta Witkowska, managing director at Prokurent.
The challenges explored are impacting the auto recycling industry on a global scale, and will resonate with recyclers around the world.
Attendees will receive an overview of how Europe is approaching the new regulation, what other countries should take away from the experience and what these changes could mean for the industry as a whole.
