The CARSTAR network announced the official opening of CARSTAR Valley Collision in Courtenay, B.C., marking another milestone for the Descoteau family’s long-standing presence in the collision repair industry.
Formerly operating as CARSTAR Courtenay, the newly branded facility continues a legacy built by franchise partners Mark, Christina and Sari Descoteau, according to a recent LinkedIn post from the company.
The Descoteau family also owns CARSTAR Terminal Auto Body and has become well known throughout the region for its focus on craftsmanship and customer service.
CARSTAR described the former CARSTAR Courtenay operation as “the cornerstone of the community for years,” adding that the family continues “to set the gold standard for craftsmanship and customer care.”
The opening of CARSTAR Valley Collision adds another chapter to the Descoteau family’s history with the brand. In 2025, Collision Repair magazine highlighted the family’s decades-long involvement in the industry as CARSTAR celebrated a major anniversary alongside the Descoteaus’ 45 years in business.
