Simplicity Car Care has appointed automotive industry veteran John Medeiros general manager of its Calgary South location.
Medeiros has worked in the automotive industry for more than 14 years. Most recently, he managed collision facilities generating more than $5 million in annual revenue, with responsibility for operations, gross profit targets and customer service.
His broader experience includes collision centre operations, high-volume profit-and-loss management and leadership of multiple retail locations across Western Canada. He has opened new operations, established sales targets and led large teams.
Medeiros also holds I-CAR Platinum Level credentials in estimating and auto physical damage appraisal. His operational experience includes quality control, vendor supply chains, production flow and efforts to reduce keys-to-keys repair times. He has also worked with direct repair programs and used Net Promoter Scores to measure customer satisfaction.

At Calgary South, Medeiros will oversee daily operations, insurer and fleet relationships and the use of Simplicity’s workflow technology. According to figures provided by the company, that technology has helped locations across the network produce repair cycle times 30% faster than the Canadian industry average.

Away from work, Medeiros plays and watches hockey, soccer and baseball. He has been married for 17 years and is the father of three children.
