CrashBay has appointed collision repair and finance leader Sabrina Thring, CPA, as a strategic advisor and investor.

Thring brings more than two decades of leadership experience in finance and collision repair operations in North America and internationally. She began her collision repair career with CARSTAR as vice president of finance before moving into several leadership positions with Driven Brands Collision Group, ultimately serving as president.

“Sabrina has done what most people in this industry only talk about,” said John Harvey, founder and CEO of CrashBay. “She has led collision repair operations at multi-billion-dollar scale across Driven Brands' best-known collision brands, she is now driving growth globally, and she brings real financial discipline to how a business is built. That combination is rare, and it is exactly what we need as we expand our carrier programs and scale the platform. We are glad to have her as both an advisor and an investor.”

Thring is currently managing director of Petromin Auto Care, an automotive service organization in the Middle East, where she will lead its international growth. She also serves as treasurer of the National Auto Body Council and its Changing and Saving Lives Foundation and sits on the board of the Automotive Industry Association of Canada.

“CrashBay is solving a problem I have watched from the inside for years,” said Thring. “Carriers, fleets, and shops all want the same outcome, a fast, high-quality, well-run repair, but the coordination between them has never had a real home. CrashBay is building that layer. I am investing and advising because I believe in where this is going and in the team building it.”

CrashBay connects carriers, fleets and repair shops to coordinate collision repair work. The company does not own repair shops or perform repairs.

According to the company, Thring’s experience in collision repair operations and finance will support its carrier, fleet and repair shop programs as it scales.
