Toronto, Ontario -- AutoCanada is promoting Mikel Pestrak to interim president of dealership operations as it moves to strengthen its operations.
Pestrak joined the company in 2018 and built one of North America’s top finance and insurance businesses. He has more than 18 years of experience in automotive retail and insurance. His background includes operational and financial roles that support his new mandate to oversee all dealership operations.
Art Crawford is becoming president of collision operations. He joined AutoCanada in 2018 after more than 20 years in rental, MRO distribution and collision repair. He turned the collision division from a loss-making unit into a profitable network that now spans 32 sites.
Cynthia Hill has also been named as AutoCanada’s general counsel. She joined in 2020 from Davies Ward Phillips and Vineberg LLP, where she was a corporate law partner focused on corporate and commercial law, mergers and acquisitions and capital markets. She has led governance, legal and sustainability work and now oversees legal, compliance and risk functions.

AutoCanada operates 64 franchised dealerships in Canada representing 23 brands, along with three independent used-vehicle stores and 15 stand-alone collision centres within a network of 32.
