Lordco Auto Parts has opened its seventh Alberta store, adding an 87th location to its Western Canadian network.
The Port Coquitlam, B.C.-based automotive parts distributor and retailer opened the new location at 64 Carry Drive SE in Medicine Hat on Aug. 21. The store occupies the former Peavey Mart building.
The location employs 18 people, including 17 hired locally. Store manager Kyle Clark moved to Medicine Hat from Revelstoke, B.C., after a decade with Lordco, including four years managing its Revelstoke location.
“We’ve built a great team—nearly all hired right here in the community—and we’re eager to show Medicine Hat the trusted service and extensive inventory Lordco is known for,” Clark said.
The store carries automotive parts and accessories, car care products and a dedicated truck centre serving truck, SUV and Jeep owners. Trade customers can also access same-day delivery, expanded inventory and dedicated sales representatives.
“Opening our seventh store in Alberta and 87th location overall is a major milestone for Lordco as we continue our expansion across Western Canada,” said Shaun Wheater, Lordco regional manager for Alberta.
Lordco operates 87 retail locations and 19 truck centres across British Columbia and Alberta. The company employs more than 2,000 people and operates a delivery fleet of more than 500 vehicles. A public grand opening for the Medicine Hat store is scheduled for Sept. 12.
