Halifax, Nova Scotia – Robbie Shreenan, owner and operator of Topcoat Automotive Collision Repair announced that the shop’s refinishers have successfully completed the PPG Envirobase certification course.
According to a recent media announcement, with this successful certification, Topcoat Automotive Collision is now capable of returning a vehicle to a factory finish.
In order to obtain PPG’s certification, technicians must have at least one year of experience and successfully complete certification training specific to the PPG premium paint system used in their facility. Certification training sessions include a two-day in-person training course consisting of classroom and hands-on training.
“Our technicians successfully answered questions on cleaning, prepping, painting, the spray process and gun setup,” Robbie Shreenan told Collision Repair magazine.
“With this most recent certification, we are now up-to-date with the products and are able to match the factory finish on all makes/ models. I’m very proud of all the hard work our team has put in and look forward to being able to show our customers that we care about matching OEM paint finishes,” Shreenan continued.
“It’s nice to be able to share warranty information with the car owner. When we can share information like this, it helps give the owner a higher comfort level in knowing that we have a large company like PPG warranting our paint.”
Collision Repair would like to extend congratulations to Robbie Shreenan and the Topcoat Automotive team on this successful milestone.
