Toronto, Ontario -- An AI-powered collision repair platform designed to help independent shops compete with major chains has secured US$20 million in funding.
The funds were secured during a series A funding round, the U.S.-based repair software startup Revv. The company's software is designed to automate vehicle inspections, generate repair orders in seconds and link repair shops directly with suppliers — all through a tablet-based interface. Revv says its platform cuts diagnostic and estimate times from 30 minutes down to under five.
"Revv brings a digital layer to an industry that has historically been overlooked by technology," said Chandu Vemuri, general partner at BlueRun Ventures. "We're excited to partner with a team that's deeply committed to the shop owner experience."
Founded in 2021, Revv has already onboarded over 1,000 repair shops across the U.S. While not yet available in Canada, the company said a portion of the funds had been earmarked for expanding the software's geographic footprint.
The company was founded by Aravind Natarajan, an ex-Tesla product lead, and Manas Mittal, a former Amazon executive. According to Natarajan, the pair had founded the business in order to help smaller, independent shops compete with dealership networks and national chains.
"Our mission is to bring cutting-edge technology to the neighbourhood auto shop, enabling them to run their business with the same tools as the largest operators," said Natarajan.
