Automechanika Frankfurt has recognized 10 winning innovations spanning vehicle repair, diagnostics, remanufacturing and sustainability at its 2026 Innovation Awards.
The winners were announced Sept. 8 during a gala ceremony on the opening day of the trade show in Frankfurt, Germany. A 17-member international jury selected the winners from 185 entries, with 47 products and solutions advancing to the final round.
Among the technologies recognized were an autonomous vehicle inspection robot, an AI-supported diagnostic assistant and a digital system for returning and evaluating used parts.
The awards also highlighted developments in electric vehicle repair and remanufacturing. Autocraft received the Green Award for its Autocraft REVIVE EV Battery Workshops, a concept focused on repairing and reconditioning high-voltage batteries rather than replacing them outright.
Other recognized solutions included a process for reconditioning electric drive motors and a durable brake disc designed for the aftermarket.
Entries were evaluated on innovation, cost-effectiveness, user benefits, functionality, aftermarket relevance, safety, durability and quality. Environmental protection, resource conservation and sustainability were also part of the assessment.
“An idea becomes an innovation when it makes a difference in practice,” said Michael Johannes, brand manager for Automechanika at Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH.
The winning technologies reflect several areas undergoing rapid change in the automotive aftermarket, including artificial intelligence, digitalization, electrification and more sustainable approaches to repair and remanufacturing.
The winning products are being showcased alongside the nominated entries in an interactive special exhibition in the Innovation4Mobility area in Hall 3.0 at the Automechanika Frankfurt trade fair.
The winners will also present their solutions on the Innovation4Mobility stage Sept. 10 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
