In the lead-up to International Women’s Day, Media Matters is highlighting the women across its organization whose work supports the company’s publications, partnerships and day-to-day operations. From editorial and design to sales, marketing and industry relations, these team members play an integral role in delivering content, managing client relationships and ensuring advertising programs meet their objectives.
This series aims to recognize their professional achievements, industry experience and the leadership they bring to the collision repair community.
Today, we’re highlighting Yvonne Maschke, art director, and Mackenzie Grant, assistant editor at Media Matters. Working closely across the creative and editorial sides of the publication, the pair help shape each issue from concept to completion — from visual design and layout to reporting and storytelling — ensuring the collision repair industry’s stories are presented clearly, creatively and with impact across both print and digital platforms.
Yvonne Maschke
As Art Director at Media Matters, Yvonne Maschke brings her love of art and design to every issue, guiding each magazine from the first layout to the final print-ready pages. She works closely with the editorial team, sales reps, and other departments to make sure every publication looks great and meets its goals. Her days are a mix of managing layouts, juggling deadlines, solving production challenges, and keeping in touch with clients to bring their ideas to life. Growing up alongside the rapid rise of technology gave her a chance to explore her creativity in new ways, and over the years, she’s been lucky to work with amazing colleagues who became fast friends and taught her so much along the way.
“I’ve always been drawn to design, art, and photography, so working on magazine layouts is pure joy for me. Outside of work, I love taking photos, tending to my garden, and spending time with family and friends."
Mackenzie Grant
As Assistant Editor at Media Matters, Mackenzie helps bring the stories of the collision repair industry to life across print and digital platforms. After joining the team as a summer intern in June, she transitioned into a full-time role in September. From researching industry developments to writing and editing features, she works closely with colleagues and contributors to ensure each story reflects the voices and experiences shaping the sector.
A large part of her role involves connecting with collision repair professionals across the country to learn about their work and the paths that brought them into the industry. She enjoys highlighting the people behind the businesses and sharing the journeys, challenges and successes that define the collision repair community.
“I love speaking with repairers and hearing how they’ve paved their own path in the industry. Every conversation brings a new perspective and it’s incredibly rewarding to help share those stories with our readers.”
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time baking, crafting and tackling renovation projects around her home.
