CWB Group and I-CAR Canada will host an open house next month at the newly renovated CWB Centre of Innovation, highlighting a new electric vehicle training facility and an upcoming technician course focused on high-voltage repair.
The EV Training Centre will serve as the location where I-CAR Canada will run its new five-day Electric Vehicle Hands-On Skills Development (HOSD) course, launching in early June. The program is designed to provide in-person, practical training for technicians working with high-voltage EV systems, with a focus on safety procedures, diagnostics and system shutdown processes.
The facility is positioned as an advanced training and demonstration space supporting the future of automotive repair, with programming focused on electric vehicle technologies, repair methodologies and emerging technical requirements across the collision repair sector.
An open house will be held Tuesday, June 9 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the CWB Centre of Innovation, 8260 Parkhill Dr. in Milton, Ont. The event will include remarks from CWB Group and I-CAR Canada, networking opportunities, facility demonstrations and an overview of the new five-day EV HOSD course.
A live demonstration of the program is scheduled for 3 p.m.
Organizers say the event is intended to showcase the capabilities of the new training space and highlight the growing need for hands-on EV education as repair facilities adapt to increasingly electrified vehicle fleets.
Attendance is limited and registration is required by May 29. For more information, or to register, click here.
