Mazda Canada has launched the Montréal edition of its Mazda Coffee Tour, a six-stop driving route designed to explore the cafés, neighbourhoods and cultural history that have shaped the city.
The tour is the second edition of the Mazda Coffee Tour, following its inaugural route through Toronto. The program uses coffee shops as stops along a broader exploration of the communities and stories connected to each neighbourhood.
For the Montréal edition, Mazda partnered with Thom Seivewright, founder of Montreal Expert, to provide cultural and historical context throughout the route. The six stops span Mile End, Mile-Ex, Saint-Henri, Old Montréal and Griffintown.
The route includes Café Olimpico, a Montréal institution dating to 1970; Alphabet Café, which combines Greek coffee traditions with specialty beverages; Café Saint-Henri, a Québec micro-roaster; Arthurs, known for its brunch; La Cave à Manger in Old Montréal; and Café Social B Hive in Griffintown.
Rather than focusing solely on the cafés themselves, the tour is intended to highlight how these businesses fit into the history and character of their surrounding neighbourhoods.
“Montréal's cafés, like Montréal's neighbourhoods, each have their own vibe, their own community, and their own specialties,” said Seivewright. “Every stop on this route offers a different perspective on the city and the people who shape it, revealing the stories, cultures, and connections that have defined these communities for generations.”
The Mazda CX-70 and CX-90 Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles have been named the official vehicles of the Montréal tour. Mazda says the vehicles are being used to demonstrate how electrified mobility can support travel between neighbourhoods while reducing emissions on everyday drives.
“Through the Mazda Coffee Tour, we're celebrating those connections while showcasing how our vehicles can help people discover the neighbourhoods, stories, and experiences that bring a city to life,” said Amy Fleming, President and CEO, Mazda Canada.
The Montréal route, along with information about previous Mazda Coffee Tour locations, is available through Mazda Canada.
