Toronto, Ontario -- UAP is appointing Alain Primeau as its new president, starting December 1.
Primeau, who has been with the company for more than 20 years, began his career in a regional sales position. Over the course of his time with the organizations, he's held a series of progressively senior positions across the , including in major accounts, the automotive division and the heavy vehicle division. He most recently served as an executive vice-president, NAPA and heavy vehicles. UAP says his experience gives him a clear understanding of the company’s customers, its national reach and the demands of the parts and service market.
UAP is one of Canada’s largest distributors of automotive and heavy vehicle parts. It operates banners such as NAPA Auto Parts, Altrom, Traction and TruckPro. The company supports a national network of stores and distribution centres that supply repair shops, fleet operators and industrial customers across the country.
