ACX has acquired Doug’s Place Southgate in Edmonton, marking the company’s latest expansion in Western Canada.
The collision centre, which opened in 1989 as an extension of the original Doug’s Place location in Strathcona, will be renamed ACX Southgate. ACX acquired the Strathcona location in 2025.
“ACX is incredibly excited to add the second Doug’s Place location to our growing platform,” said Art Crawford, president of ACX. “Having worked with the team before, we know we’re adding an excellent facility and deeply knowledgeable group of people to our already impressive roster.”
ACX Southgate currently holds 10 OEM certifications, including Subaru, Ford, Honda/Acura and Toyota. The existing team will remain with the facility as ACX invests in new systems and equipment and works to add further OEM certifications.
The acquisition brings the second Doug’s Place facility into the ACX platform following the Strathcona acquisition last year. Together, the two Edmonton locations represent the continuation of a long-standing local collision repair operation under ACX ownership.
Doug’s Place Southgate has operated in Edmonton for more than three decades, providing collision repair services to customers in the area. ACX said the facility will continue serving its existing customers while becoming part of the company’s broader platform of collision repair centres.
