Toronto, Ontario — The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) has announced that it has now removed the prerequisite test requirements for the ASE Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) L4 Specialist Certification test.

According to online sources, the goal of this recent update is to help remove barriers in participation for repairers.

The ASE L4 test specifically features content related to the diagnosis, service and calibration of radar, camera, ultrasonic and other ADAS systems.

As noted on the test’s information page, service professionals who earn the certification will learn to diagnose, service and calibrate ADAS systems on automobiles, SUVs and light-duty trucks.
